Oh… you have that version of Windows 10…

30th November 2016 - Windows 10.. The last Windows version you will ever learn.
Oh… you have that version of Windows 10…

Last version.. yeah right…

When you are thinking of deploying Windows 10, which version should you choose?

1511, 1604, 1607, Enterprise, Pro, LTSB the choices are endless, but which one is correct for you?

After thinking this one through, I firstly opted for 2015 LTSB edition..  At first all seemed to be going well, the operating systems were deploying by SCCM2012R2, and group policies were starting to fall into place..

A few weeks go by and then I start trying to add in some extra features.. this is where I realise my mistake.. So after consulting an external support company, I decide to change over to 1511 Enterprise, which at the time is the most stable version of Windows 10.

This sounds like an easy thing to do.. right…  ahh.. wrong!

Changing the version that is deployed in SCCM is easy enough, but how do you upgrade those that have already had an operating system deployed??  The approach that I decided to adopt was to call the laptops in small groups to ensure that a full audit was conducted at the same time as the system upgrade.
