About Me

About Me. . .

I have lived in Southampton all of my life, being educated at Cantell Secondary School, then Southampton City College, and finally onto Southampton Solent University.  I have always had a passion for all things that involve technology, always taking things apart to see how they work, and hopefully putting them back together again.

I have worked within the IT sector for many years now, with the majority of my time spent in the education sector.  Although I studied computing at college and university, I consider myself to be self taught as no course can prepare you for the real world of educational IT support.

I find that I truly thrive from a challenge, and work best when I am under pressure.  I have worked my whole career to try and become a successful network manager and really make a difference my way to a school providing staff and students with the IT that they deserve.

Networks…

I enjoy nothing more than building a network from scratch, or the challenge of rebuilding a network whilst users are still working without causing any disruption to service.  I have managed to achieve this in several schools that I have worked in allowing staff and students to continue working, whilst only seeing improvements in speed and limited downtime.

Training…

Training staff is one of the most important things you can do, but who has the time…
